Wednesday Links

I don’t know where this is, but we need a designated area for this near the aPlateOfGrapes offices.

Next up, from the same site, we have this. I think the caption says it all.

Finally, egad man! It’s like the cold war of chili peppers… except it’s hot.

King David, Why You Gotta Be Like That?

As Passover approaches, products specific to that holiday are more prominently displayed and advertised. Makes sense. That’s how I caught my first glance at King David Matzos. Here’s the artwork:

King David

If you look close, you won’t see anything nefarious about the packaging. Walk farther away, however, and King David’s jerk side comes into focus:

Still don’t see it? Maybe an illustration will help.

Again I ask, King David, why you gotta be like that?

Off the Plate: Disturbing Hand Warmer

So, I don’t know why you’d need a heated mouse pad hand warmer. But if I was in the market for one, I certainly wouldn’t pick this one. Looks a little too much like another bear that’s known for, uh, really liking children.

Off the Plate: Name that Fish!

Here’s a one time feature here on aPlateOfGrapes.com called Name that Fish. Ready? Here goes.

Hint #1: It’s found in North America

OK, that’s pretty broad.

Hint #2: It has 7-8 dorsal spines.

Figured it out yet?

Hint #3: They live about 7 years

You’ve probably figured it out by now, but just in case…

Hint #4: It’s name is the same as a symptom of upper intestinal bleeding.

Of course I’m talking about the Black Crappie. Enjoy fishing season, everyone.

Back to the Grapes

Haven’t had much hot grape on plate action lately, so here’s your fix. Also, don’t forget to play Hangman, Match Up, and Spelling Bee. Hangman and Match Up will keep refreshing so you can play over and over again.
