A salute to Canada

As I mentioned earlier this week, aPlateOfGrapes.com is a worldwide phenomenon. No country, other than the good ol’ US of A, come close to our popularity in Canada. To celebrate and thank our good friends to the North (our HQ is in the United States), we’ve themed today’s image in several ways.

First, if you squint, the grapes kind of look like Canada.

Second, the grapes are colored regionally by language (both English and French).

Finally, for the French Canadians, I’ve put the whole thing on a frog plate. Un plat des raisins pour toujours!

SPam of thE Week

By now you’ve noticed my fascination with spam bots and how they appear to be targeting my post on global warming’s attempt to ruin frozen novelties. However, there is now another post that draws the bots like moths to a flame. See what all the buzz is about.

What’s fascinating about this isn’t just that they’re focusing on one post; it’s that they’re about the same thing. Here is a sample of just some the user names:

Cialis Generic Tadalafil

Levitra Online

Cialis Generic Viagra

OK, you get the idea. Apparently people get excited about hot plate on grape action (although not too excited, obviously). Then, after about 20 such posts, I got this message from user “Contraceptive Sponge”:

“Hmm, your site took quite a long time to load but it was worth it”

My site doesn’t rush “loading.” It takes its time so you can enjoy not just the loading, but the whole experience.
