Product placement has increasingly entered video games. Sometimes placements are well done and can fit into the background (a Hyundai billboard in Call of Duty, for example) and some are a little blatant. The Star Wars Episode 1 Brisksaber game falls into the latter category. That’s right, Lipton Iced Tea themed lightsaber battles. Check it out:
It made me think George Lucus and Lipton could make some “improvements” to this classic scene:
Luke: "I'll never join you! Unless you give me your Lipton Brisk Iced Tea."
Darth Vader: "Excellent... catch."
Luke: "Aaaaaaaaaaghhhh I dropped it!!!!!!!!!!"
Blatant product placement reminds me of this comic from 2002. Egad, that was 10 years ago and I still remember it… There has to be better use for my brain space…
